Soaking nuts

I am soaking these lovely hazelnuts over night so I can make some Hazelnut Milk. This is my second time doing this because a.) my Mom loves it and b.) my cat loves. If my Mom and Cat love it then well it is time to make more milk!

I have been asked, "Doesn't making your own nut milk cost more money then buy it in the store?" My answer has always been sweet and simple: No. No it doesn't cost me more money to make nut milks. My hazelnut milk actually saves me about 8 dollars. I also saves me from all the preservatives that add into the milks. Thus homemade is much more cleaner to drink then store bought. Oh man now there are two other benefits to make your own milks. You can also be creative with your milks. Try adding some cinnamon, nutmeg, or even dates and see how much you enjoy the flavor!

Fresh vs. Packaged

Who do you think always wins?

What nut/grain milks do you make? I want to hear from you since you and I inspire each other!
